Did AT&T’s Samsung Attain (Galaxy S II) Just Pass Through the FCC?
So,
I’ve had quite a few Phantips alerting me of a mysterious Samsung
SGH-I777 device that just passed through the FCC today. By the looks of
it, this could be one of the two versions of the Samsung’s Galaxy S II
phones to hit AT&T very soon. Seeing how there’s no indication of a
keyboard, [...]
AT&T Set to Get a Non-QWERTY Galaxy S II, As Well?
Fret
not, AT&T users who also happen to be keyboard haters – it appears
the carrier could be set to carry a Galaxy S II variant that does not
have a hardware QWERTY keyboard. Android Central received a photo of
said device and were told by the tipster that it is indeed Galaxy S II
[...]
AT&T’s Galaxy S II Will Have Slide-Out QWERTY, Pictures Inside
Yesterday
when a render of an unknown Samsung handset with a slide-out QWERTY
keyboard surfaced, we raised the question as to whether or not it could
be AT&T’s variant of the Galaxy S II. Turns out, that is exactly
what the device will be. Images of the handset have surfaced clearly
showing the SGH-I927 model [...]
Would You Import a Galaxy S II If No US Carrier Adopted It? [Rumor]
Title
says it all, folks. A rumor’s going around saying the Galaxy S II’s
launch in the United States is in limbo. The country’s major carriers
are supposedly dragging on with negotiations, citing improved CDMA
radios by Motorola and HTC as reasons why they’d rather work with those
manufacturers on upcoming flagships. The source speculates [...]
Samsung Within, Attain, and Function Cases Appear on Amazon
Another
case manufacturer has outed their new silicone cases for the Galaxy S
II, and like the folks we saw before them, they out names for the Galaxy
S II on Sprint, Verizon and AT&T (Within, Function and Attain,
respectively). This doesn’t give us much more than we already know, but
it does reaffirm beliefs [...]
Samsung Galaxy S II Attain, Within & Function Are Names for US Carriers [AT&T, Sprint & Verizon, Respectively]
We
all knew this was coming, folks – the Samsung Galaxy S2 is headed to
the United States. And it’s most likely coming to all major carriers and
maybe even a couple of smaller ones. What we didn’t know was a
timeframe, names, or any other details aside from a general idea of what
to [...]

The Samsung Attain will be AT&T's variation of the Samsung Galaxy S
II. Specs are near identical to the international version of the
handset only with 4 rows of capacitive keys along the bottom.
The
Attain will ship with a 4.3-inch SAMOLED Plus screen (no more Pentile
Matrix display), 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos processor, 8MP rear camera/ 2MP
front-facing camera, both 1080p recording and playback, NFC

globe. The Galaxy S2 is a welcome update to the Galaxy family.
Many have heralded the S II as being the best smartphone to come out
yet. It has Samsung's overlay, TouchWiz 4.0, which is said to be leaps
and bounds better than 3.0.

Samsung Galaxy S II 4G Overview
The Galaxy S2 (sometimes known as the Galaxy S II) is the follow up to
Samsung's widely successful Galaxy S lineup. This time, the Galaxy S2
raises all the stakes and Samsung has found a way to double almost every
spec in a true, one of a kind sequel.
With a 4.3-inch SAMOLED
Plus screen (no more Pentile Matrix display), 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos
processor, 8MP rear camera/ 2MP front-facing camera, both 1080p
recording and playback, NFC capabilities, great battery life and one of

the Galaxy family. Superphones don't get much better than this.
Many have heralded the S II as being the best smartphone to come out
yet, with some reviewers saying that even the iPhone 4 can't beat it. It
has Samsung's overlay, TouchWiz 4.0, which is said to be leaps and
bounds better than 3.0.
Samsung Galaxy S2 HD Overview
Samsung has announced a stunning upgrade to the origianl Galaxy S2
called the Galaxy S2 HD that features (you guessed it) an HD display.
While immediate availability has only been announced for South Korea,
international launches are expected.

720 HD screen the Galaxy S2 HD features nearly identical specs as the
original Galaxy S2 including a 1.5GHz dual core processor, 8MP camera,
NFC capabilities and mor

Samsung Galaxy Xcover Overview
Samsung's rugged feature phone brand has been brought into the modern
age with the Galaxy Xcover. The phone isn't just the first Android
smartphone to earn the Xcover name and ruggedized design, it's the first
Android 2.3 handset to do so as well. Sporting a 3.65-inch
scratch-resistant screen made of tempered glass, 3.2MP camera with LED
flash (doubling as a flashlight) and HSDPA capable of speeds up to 7.2
Mbps, the Galaxy Xcover will give the likes of the Motorola Defy and
Sony Ericsson Xperia Active a run for their money. It might take the
cake, though, when it comes to underwater demonstrations. The Xcover is
said to survive a 1m dunking for up to 30 minutes.
Samsung Galaxy Z Overview
The Samsung Galaxy has been announced for 3 in Sweden. They've
described it as an affordable little brother to the Samsung Galaxy S II.
Inside is supposed to be a dual-core processor, but it's clocked at
only 1GHz and may not be the Samsung-made Exynos chipset inside the
Galaxy S II. We suspect it's using NVIDIA's dual-core Tegra 2 chipset.
Other specs include a 4.2 inch Super Clear LCD display and it launches
with Android 2.3. It's only up for pre-order for 3,995 Swedish kronor,
which translates to about $630 in the United States.
Samsung Gravity Smart Overview
The Samsung Gravity Smart is the first Android inductee into Samsung's Gravity line. It is described as a phone for serious text-fiends, and the slide-out QWERTY keyboard gets that message across loud and clear. The Gravity Smart is a mid-range device featurings a 3.2-inch screen, 3MP camera, and 800MHz processor.
The Smart will be available on T-Mobile, where it will be sure to please those seeking a low-cost smartphone that can bridge the gap between the messaging feature phones of yesterday with today's latest smartphone technology.
Samsung Hercules Overview
The Samsung Hercules is rumored to be a new super-superphone from T-Mobile. After rumors of the Galaxy S on the three biggest carriers in the United States left T-Mobile out, we were left wondering whether or not they'd be getting anything of the sort. While that picture has yet to be painted, rumors have since popped up that this will essentially be T-Mobile's Galaxy S II, albeit with quite a bit of difference.
Inside may be a dual-core Qualcomm processor (not Snapdragon) with an Adreno 220 GPU, 1GB of RAM, an NFC chip and more. The display will be Super AMOLED Plus and will clock in at 4.5 inches in size. Like the Galaxy S II, HDMI functionality will come through the device's USB port thanks to MHL technology.
Samsung Illusion Overview
The Samsung Illusion is a mid-range device for Verizon. It sports a 3.5
inch HVGA display, Android 2.3, a 1GHz processor, a 3 megapixel camera
and more. It doesn't boast the impressive features from Verizon's 4G
lineup and other devices but it should be an affordable offering for
anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot on an Android.

Samsung DROID Charge Overview
The Samsung Droid Charge was the 2nd phone released in a lineup of 4G LTE enabled smartphones for Verizon's network.
It comes with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen (no more Pentile Matrix), physical buttons just beneath the screen, 8MP rear camera/ 1.3MP front-facing camera, HDMI-out, and 1GHz Hummingbird processor. It launched with Android 2.2 and came with a 16GB micro sd card.
The Samsung Droid Charge will definitely have a hard time flying under the radar. It could, however, fly past competition with Verizon's lightning fast 4G LTE speeds.
